Stressors

I figured I'd start off with a post about what I think is the main obstacle to health: Stressors. While everyday stress from work, family, or traffic jams is definitely included in this, I believe it goes much deeper.

I think health can be broken down into your bodies ability to deal with all of the stressors put on it. These can come from many places, such as an intense workout, a bad day at work, or eating foods that are causing damage to our bodies we can't even sense! While some of these stressors can be good for you (I don't think anyone would deny they just feel better after a solid workout), others can be very damaging (such as eating foods you are allergic/insensitive too). Your body is set up is to be able to swiftly and efficiently deal with these stressors, and this is the secret to health.

More posts will come on various types of stressors, and how they affect the body. However, I primarily aim for this blog to be a way for me to verbalize and communicate any ideas I have on a particular day about any facet of human health. Some posts will be more in depth than others, but hopefully I can use this to share useful information for those looking to live fulfilled, unencumbered lives!
